Earl lost his entire family. Help him find a place to call home.
Earl has been living on the streets for eight months. After losing his family, he is facing this difficult chapter alone. Together, we can help him take the next step toward a home. Read more
Why this campaign matters
We had seen Earl in the same area day after day on our way to work. One day, we stopped to listen to his story.
Earl told us he had been living on the streets for eight months. He shared that his mother, father, brother, sister, cousin and grandmother had passed away. Without his family by his side, he has been trying to get through each day on his own.
When we asked what he needed, his answer was simple: a home and help getting off the streets.
Little Brazil Foundation is organizing this fundraiser to help Earl move toward a safer, more stable life. Our plan is to give Earl a safe place to live and food for one full year while we seek a partner to help build him a lasting home.
Your donation will help fund 12 months of rental housing and 12 months of food. During that year, we will work to find a construction partner for Earl's home.
Every contribution matters. If you cannot donate, sharing his story can help us reach someone who can. Together, we can show Earl that he does not have to face this alone.
How your donation will be used
Our planOur $50,000 goal is focused on giving Earl a year of stability while we work toward a lasting home.
A safe place to live for one year
Rent a place for Earl for 12 months, giving him shelter, privacy and a stable base to start again.
Food for one year
Help cover Earl's food needs for 12 months, so he can focus on rebuilding his life without worrying about his next meal.
A partner for a lasting home
During that year, we will seek a partner to help build Earl a home. We are still looking for that partner; construction is not yet secured.
Rental housing and food are the immediate priorities. The house-building effort is a separate partnership we are working to secure during that time.
